facildocs

Get your photo to the exact file size required.

Enter the maximum in KB and the tool finds the best quality that fits. Handy for profile photos, signatures and online forms.

  • Free, no sign-up.
  • Your photo never leaves your device.
  • Always under the limit you enter.

Resize image to KB

Add an image and choose the maximum size.

The result is a JPG. Quality is lowered first and, if that's not enough, the dimensions too.

How a photo is reduced to an exact size

The tool tries several quality levels and keeps the best one that stays under the limit.

  1. Add the image

Drag it in or choose it. It can be a phone photo, including HEIC.

  2. Enter the maximum size

Type the KB the form asks for, or pick one of the common sizes.

  3. Resize and download

You'll see the final size, dimensions and a preview before downloading.

To get the best-looking result.

Check the exact limit
Many forms ask for photos between 50 and 200 KB, but each has its own limit. Enter yours exactly.
KB and KiB
Here 1 KB is 1,024 bytes, as in Windows. If the form counts 1 KB as 1,000 bytes, the file fits with room to spare.
Crop first
If you only need a face or a signature, crop it first: with less area, the quality will be higher.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. The photo is resized inside your browser and FacilDocs never receives it.

Why is the result a JPG?

JPG gives the best balance of size and quality for photos, and almost every form accepts it.

Do the photo's dimensions change?

Only if needed. Quality is lowered first; if it's still too big at the lowest quality, the size is reduced too.

My photo is already under the limit. What should I do?

If it's a JPG that already fits, the tool tells you to use it as it is.

Does it work for scanned signatures?

Yes. 20 or 50 KB is usually enough for a signature, and with a white background it stays sharp.
